Transitions to Work is an employer based program that focuses on creating new employment opportunities for young adults with a disability. The program provides classroom instruction and skills training to prepare students for work and assists them in obtaining employment upon completion of the program. Transitions to Work serves individuals with a disability between the ages of 18 to 35 who have completed high school, can travel independently and can work up to 20 hours per week. The Transitions to Work Program is excited to announce an upcoming training session beginning September 2013:
Transitions to Work will offer a training program at NewBridge on the Charles, a HebrewSenior Life facility in Dedham, MA. Internships will be in the areas of Customer Service, Culinary Arts and Housekeeping. Students will gain hands-on work experience and training that is relevant to real jobs.
