Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael, a new Jewish boys’ high school opening in September 2014, is located in Brighton, Massachusetts. The initial class will include grade nine students who will study both Judaic and secular studies curricula.

Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael is committed to forward thinking education. Teachers will use differentiated instruction and will provide blended learning opportunities by utilizing technology in their classrooms.

The school is seeking qualified teachers in these areas commencing September 2014:

·         Mathematics/Physics—a block of two periods (90 minutes)

·         English/Humanities—a block of two periods  (90 minutes)

·         Hebrew—one period  (45 minutes)

·         Computer Science- one period (45 minutes)

·         Physical Education- one period (45 minutes)

The school seeks talented, conscientious, and dedicated persons who are committed to teaching and learning. The successful candidate should have:

·         At least a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in one of the subjects to be taught; a Master’s Degree is preferred.

·         At least three years of teaching in a classroom setting.

·         An understanding of the Common Core curriculum and how it relates to the teaching of                   their subjects.

·         A passion for learning and for sharing knowledge with others.

·         A desire to work with and relate to high school boys in a religious setting.

·         Education courses and a teaching credential are preferred but not required.

In 2014, we anticipate that the teacher of mathematics and physics, as well as the teacher of English and history, will teach a double class for approximately 90 minutes and be on campus for approximately 135 minutes on Monday through Thursday afternoons.

The salary will be commensurate with experience and background of the successful candidate.
