Marriage Equality dominates the public conversation about LGBTQ rights, but we know that even with a favorable ruling from the United States Supreme Court, our work for full justice and equality for LGBTQ people is far from done. So what’s next? What else is animating and driving our movement?
During Pride Week, join Keshet, the Anti-Defamation League, and GLAD for an evening of drinks and conversation with Ben Klein, GLAD Senior Attorney & AIDS Law Project Director. A veteran lawyer and legal expert in the LGBTQ civil rights movement, Klein has worked on landmark legal cases on civil rights issues including marriage equality, justice and equal treatment for people with HIV/AIDS, transgender equality, and more. In 1998, Klein successfully argued before the Supreme Court on behalf of the rights of Americans living with HIV, winning anti-discrimination protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act in Bragdon v. Abbott.
We hope you can join us for this fun and fascinating evening of delicious drinks and inspiring conversation!
This event is being held in association with ADL’s Cocktails and Conversations programming.
