Yal-Day-New hosts a community Tot Shabbat on Fridays throughout the school year. We welcome prospective families to join current families, students, and teachers at Yal-Day-New for a special Tot Shabbat celebration with award winning musician, Ellen Allard. This celebration is a wonderful opportunity to visit the school, see the teachers in-action, meet current families, and create Shabbat traditions with your children. No fee and all are welcome.
Ellen Allard takes us on a Shabbat journey through songs, dance, and prayers. She has created a formula for a Shabbat service that can be likened to a quilt of songs and stories that masterfully weaves the rubrics of a Shabbat service together. Utilizing a number of flowing, seamless transitions that move the students from standing to sitting to dancing to chanting to keenly listening, Ellen Allard provides an amazing Tot Shabbat Experience that has all the students riveted, from the beginning until the end. We hope you will join us for this family engagement opportunity!
Yal-Day-New enrolls students from 2 months to 5 years old. We offer early drop-off starting at 7:30am, and operate Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, year-round. We provide summer programming (July & August) as part of our year-round program. Join Yal-Day-New’s Open House & Tot Shabbat celebration to learn more about enrolling your infant, toddler, and/or preschool student!
