JCRC’s ReachOut! Spring 2016: Collaborative Event with Eser and JALSA

January 27, 2016 0

Join the ReachOut! community as well as Eser and JALSA to learn about the different ways to get involved in Boston! Eser (Hebrew for the number 10) offers different “Top 10” themes to be explored by small groups of those in their 20s and 30s in the greater Boston area. JALSA (Jewish Alliance for Law and Justice) is a Boston-based social justice organization, devoted to the defense of civil rights, the preservation of constitutional liberties, and the passionate pursuit of social, economic and environmental justice for all people. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about three organizations that engage Jewish young adults and offer incredible ways to get further ingrained in our community.

JCRC’s ReachOut! presents the opportunity to volunteer across greater Boston, and to build community through shared learning and Jewish experiences. Join other young professionals in their 20s and 30s and make an impact!

ReachOut! traditionally runs for 12 weeks at a time. You and a small group of your peers work with one of our partner sites one evening a week for said 12 weeks. We have a wide variety of community service opportunities available, ranging from working with teens, spending time with seniors, helping the homeless, and providing adult education. In addition to service work, you will have the chance to get to know your fellow participants through two Shabbat dinners and a social event.

Event Location: Barcelona Wine Bar
1700 Beacon Street, Brookline, Massachusetts, 02446
