Tryouts for the JCC Maccabi Games®, an annual Olympic-style sporting competition for Jewish teens ages 13-16, will be held at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on January 25 and February 8 from 7-8pm. Boston’s JCC Maccabi Games delegation will send teams to participate in boys baseball, boys and girls soccer, girls basketball and girls volleyball. Individual sports to be represented by the Boston delegation are dance, tennis, golf, table tennis, swimming and bowling. Participants must be age 13 by July 31, 2015. The games take place in Dallas, Texas, from August 2-7. A $150 deposit is due at the time of the tryouts which is 100% refundable until March 15, 2015.
