The Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action (JALSA) invites you to our January Tzedek Salon:
Affordable housing is a major challenge to the economic viability of our region, and the ability of workers to live in proximity to their jobs. It is particularly an issue for young people hoping to remain in the Boston area, and for families and individuals of low and moderate incomes.
Rachel Heller, Director of Public Policy for Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA), will be joining us to discuss this topic at our January Tzedek Salon.
Rachel has worked at CHAPA since 2012 and is responsible for directing CHAPA’s agenda on state policy and budgetary advocacy. Prior to working for CHAPA, she worked as the Director of Public Policy at the Alliance for Business Leadership, served as Chief of Staff to MA State Senator Susan Tucker, and was the Senior Policy Advocate at Homes for Families, a nonprofit advocacy organization working to end family homelessness.
We look forward to delving into this topic with you in January!
Please RSVP to email@example.com but of course you can join us last minute
Tzedek Salons bring young Jews, in their 20-30s, and social activists together with important policy makers, attorneys and academics for casual conversations at local bars to explore cutting edge issues facing our society and state today.+ More... - Less...
