When Nancy’s younger sister passed away after a two-year struggle with cancer, she was bereft. Her parents had died years before and with her sister’s passing, she felt alone. Even with the support of her loving husband, Nancy was overwhelmed by a sorrow she’d never felt before. But one night she received an email about a Jewish Family & Children’s Service bereavement support group that would help lift her from her grief.
“After my sister passed away I was feeling a sense of emotional devastation. I really needed a group to deal with this grief,” she said. “I saw the email and thought, ‘This is exactly what I need.’ It was meant to be.”
